Land Claim
Welcome to RepublicMC! To ensure your builds and belongings stay protected, we use the GriefDefender plugin for land claiming. This guide will help you understand how to claim, expand, and manage your land effectively, so you can build freely without worrying about griefers.
🏠 How to Claim Land
Get a Claim Tool – Use a golden shovel to start claiming land. You can obtain one from the server shop or by crafting.
Choose a Claim Location – Stand in an open area where you want to claim. Ensure it is not too close to another player’s claim.
Set Two Opposite Corners:
Right-click one corner with the golden shovel.
Move diagonally and right-click the opposite corner to finalize your claim.
Claim Created! – You’ll see glowing particles outlining your claimed land, and a confirmation message will appear.
Ensure You Have Enough Claim Blocks – Each player starts with a set number of claim blocks, and claims cannot exceed the available amount.
📏 Expanding Your Claim
Hold the golden shovel and stand near your claim border.
Right-click inside your claim to select a border.
Move outward and right-click again to expand the claim.
If you do not have enough claim blocks, you will need to earn or purchase more.
🤝 Trusting Other Players
Want to share your land with others? Use these commands to grant specific permissions:
/trust <player>– Allows full access to build and interact./containertrust <player>– Grants access to chests, furnaces, and other containers./accesstrust <player>– Allows interaction with doors, buttons, and levers but prevents building./permissiontrust <player>– Allows the player to manage trust permissions./untrust <player>– Removes trust from a player, restricting their access./trustlist– Displays all players who have access to your claim.
📌 Subdividing Claims
You can create smaller sections within your main claim to control access more precisely.
Use
/subdivideclaimsto enter subdivision mode.Right-click two points inside your main claim to define the new area.
The new subdivision is created, allowing for different permissions than the main claim.
Use
/abandonclaimwhile inside a subdivision to remove only that section.
🚮 Abandoning Claims
If you no longer need your claim, you can remove it.
/abandonclaim– Deletes your current claim but keeps other claims intact./abandonallclaims– Deletes all your claims at once./deleteclaim– Used by admins to remove a claim forcefully.If you abandon a claim, the land will become unprotected, allowing others to claim it.
🔧 Claiming Additional Blocks
Each player starts with a set number of claim blocks, but you can get more by:
Playing actively on the server – You earn blocks over time.
Purchasing more claim blocks using
/buyclaimblocks <amount>.Checking your available claim blocks with
/claimlist.
🔹 Admin and Advanced Commands
For advanced land management, use these commands:
/claiminfo– Displays details about the claim you are standing in./claimslist– Lists all your existing claims and their coordinates./extendclaim <amount>– Expands your claim in all directions./transferclaim <player>– Transfers ownership of your claim to another player.
FAQ
Why can’t I claim land? Ensure you have enough claim blocks and are not too close to another player’s claim.
Why did my claim disappear? Claims can expire if inactive for a long time. Make sure to log in regularly to keep your claims.
I trusted someone, but they griefed me. What can I do? Remove them using
/untrust <player>and report them to staff if necessary.Can I move my claim? Claims cannot be moved but can be abandoned and re-created elsewhere.
