📌 Introduction

The Tinker System in AdvancedEnchantments allows you to modify, upgrade, and customize your enchanted gear. You can: ✅ Extract enchantments from items. ✅ Combine enchantments into books. ✅ Reroll enchantments for better tiers. ✅ Upgrade gear with powerful modifiers.

This guide explains how to use Tinker commands, mechanics, and strategies.

🔨 How to Use Tinker

1️⃣ Extracting Enchantments

What it does: Removes enchantments from an item and turns them into a book. Requirements:

  • An enchanted item (e.g., a Sharpness V sword).

  • XP Levels (default: 10-30 per extraction).

Steps:

  1. Hold the item you want to extract from.

  2. Run /ae tinker extract.

  3. Receive a book with the enchantment. (The original item loses the enchant!)

⚠️ Warning: Some high-tier enchantments (Legendary/Mythic) may fail or break the item if extraction chances are configured.

2️⃣ Combining Enchantments

What it does: Merges two books into one (if compatible). Requirements:

  • Two enchantment books.

  • No conflicting enchantments (e.g., Sharpness + Smite won’t merge).

Steps:

  1. Hold the first book in your hand.

  2. Run /ae tinker combine.

  3. Click the second book in your inventory.

  4. If successful, you get a single book with both enchants.

💡 Tip: Combine cheap enchantments first before applying them to gear!

3️⃣ Rerolling Enchantments

What it does: Randomly changes an item’s enchantments. Requirements:

  • An enchanted item.

  • XP or Currency (set by admins).

Steps:

  1. Hold the item you want to reroll.

  2. Run /ae tinker reroll.

  3. Pay the cost (e.g., 30 levels).

  4. Get new random enchantments (could be better or worse!).

🎲 Risk vs. Reward: Great for recycling bad gear, but unpredictable.

4️⃣ Upgrading Enchantments

What it does: Increases an enchantment’s level (e.g., Sharpness III → IV). Requirements:

  • An item with an upgradeable enchant.

  • XP, Souls, or Currency (depends on config).

Steps:

  1. Hold the item.

  2. Run /ae tinker upgrade.

  3. Select the enchantment to upgrade.

  4. Pay the cost (e.g., 50 Souls + 20 levels).

📈 Best for: Maxing out Legendary-tier enchants like Soul Reaper.

⚔️ Tinker Strategies

Optimal Progression Path

  1. Farm cheap gear (dungeons, mobs).

  2. Extract good enchants (e.g., Sharpness, Lifesteal).

  3. Combine books to save inventory space.

  4. Upgrade the best ones (prioritize Epic/Legendary enchants).

  5. Reroll trash gear for a chance at OP rolls.

What NOT to Do

❌ Don’t extract from Netherite gear unless you’re sure. ❌ Don’t reroll already-good items (you might lose everything). ❌ Don’t combine conflicting enchants (check compatibility first).

Q: Can I undo a tinker action? ➡️ No! Tinkering is permanent—be careful.

Q: Why did my item break when extracting? ➡️ Some enchants (e.g., Mythic-tier) have a failure chance (admins can adjust this).

Q: How do I get more XP/Souls for tinkering? ➡️ Farm mobs, sell loot, or complete server quests!
